Flying from Gatwick or landing back in the UK? The Royal Britain Airport Transfer gets you to the North or South Terminal, or home again, in a clean, comfortable car with a professional driver who's already tracking your flight. One price, agreed before you travel. No meter, no card machine drama at the curb, no "cash only" surprises.
Whether you need a Gatwick Airport taxi for an early departure, a private transfer from Gatwick into Central London, or a long-distance run down to Brighton or across to Heathrow, you'll get the same thing every time: a driver waiting in Arrivals with your name, and a fixed fare that doesn't move.
Fixed prices, agreed upfront: Your fare is confirmed at the time of booking and covers the whole journey, including Gatwick's terminal drop-off and pick-up charges. What you're quoted is what you pay, whether the M23 is clear or you're crawling past Hooley on a Friday evening.
Licensed, professional drivers: Every driver is licensed private hire, DBS-checked, and knows Gatwick's terminal layout, drop-off restrictions, and the fastest routes in from every direction, not just the M23/M25 default.
Real-time flight monitoring: We track your inbound flight, not your booked time. If your flight lands early or late, your pickup adjusts automatically, so you're never left waiting curbside, and your driver isn't sitting there for a flight that hasn't landed yet.
Meet and greet as standard: Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board, ready to help with luggage and walk you straight to the car, with no wandering around a car park working out where you've been left.
Door-to-door, both ways: We collect from home, hotel, office, or any UK address, and drop you at the correct terminal entrance, not a general "airport area."
Comfortable, well-maintained vehicles: From a saloon for a solo business trip to an executive people carrier or minibus for a family or group, every vehicle is air-conditioned, insured, and kept to a standard you'd expect from a premium service, not a standard minicab.
Available 24 hours, every day: Gatwick doesn't stop for 4am departures or midnight arrivals, and neither do we.
Transfers to Gatwick Airport: Collection from anywhere in Greater London, Surrey, Sussex, or further afield, timed to get you to check-in with time to spare, not sprinting through security.
Transfers from Gatwick Airport: Door-to-door drop-off at your home, hotel, office, or onward destination, with your driver already positioned and tracking your flight before you've landed.
Hotel transfers: Direct collection or drop-off at hotels across London and the South East, ideal for connecting flights, layovers, or simply a more comfortable start or end to a trip.
Business and corporate travel: Punctual, discreet transfers for meetings, conferences, and client pickups, with invoicing available for regular corporate accounts.
Executive travel: Premium vehicles for clients who want a higher standard of car and driver without booking a full chauffeur package.
Family transfers: Child and booster seats are available on request, with enough boot space for buggies and holiday luggage, so there's no squeezing cases onto laps.
Student transfers: Straightforward, fairly priced transfers for the start and end of term, particularly useful with heavy luggage and awkward train connections.
Long-distance transfers: Direct runs from Gatwick to cities well beyond the immediate area, avoiding multiple train changes with bags.
Cruise port transfers: Direct transfers between Gatwick Airport and Southampton or Dover cruise terminals, timed around your flight or sailing.
City-to-city transfers: Onward travel to towns and cities across the South East and beyond once you've landed.
Gatwick has two terminals, North and South, and getting picked up at the wrong one is one of the most common (and avoidable) frustrations at this airport. Here's what you need to know.
North Terminal handles the majority of easyJet's Gatwick departures, along with a number of long-haul and leisure carriers. It doesn't have its own railway station, so anyone travelling onward by train needs to use the free shuttle to reach South Terminal first.
South Terminal is home to British Airways, Ryanair, Jet2, Wizz Air, Vueling, and most TUI flights, and sits directly above Gatwick's railway station, served by Gatwick Express, Thameslink, and Southern.
Because airlines do occasionally move terminals, we always confirm your terminal and flight number at the time of booking rather than assuming, so your driver goes to the correct arrivals hall, not a generic "Gatwick" pin.
Moving between terminals? Gatwick's free automated inter-terminal shuttle runs 24 hours a day, every few minutes, and takes around two minutes each way. Allow 10 to 15 minutes door-to-door once you include walking and waiting time. If you need a transfer that starts or ends at the "wrong" terminal for your flight (for example, collecting from North Terminal parking but departing South), just tell us when booking and we'll build it into your pickup time.
Approximate distances and typical road journey times. Actual time depends on traffic, time of day, and pickup point. Fares are fixed at the time of booking regardless of traffic conditions.
Not seeing your route listed? We cover journeys across the South East and long-distance transfers to most of mainland UK. Get an instant quote for your exact pickup and drop-off.
The Gatwick Express is genuinely fast, taking around 30 minutes to London Victoria, but it only goes to Victoria, it's priced per person rather than per journey, and it doesn't help at all if your actual destination is a hotel in Canary Wharf, a house in Guildford, or an office near Heathrow. Regular Southern and Thameslink services are cheaper but stop more often, and none of the rail options solve the last-mile problem of getting from a station to your actual front door with luggage.
A private transfer changes the maths for anyone who isn't travelling light and alone:
Groups and families: One fixed fare for the car, not a ticket per person, and no juggling cases and children through ticket barriers.
Heavy or awkward luggage: Golf bags, instrument cases, oversized suitcases, and buggies all travel in the boot, not balanced on your knees.
Early departures and late arrivals: A 4am pickup or a flight landing at midnight doesn't need to depend on train timetables that haven't started running yet.
Business travellers. Arrive ready to work, not having stood for part of a rush-hour train journey.
Onward destinations away from a station: Door-to-door beats "nearest station plus a taxi from there" every time.
If you're one person with hand luggage heading straight to a station near Victoria, the train may well be the cheaper option, and we'd rather you know that than oversell you. Where a private transfer earns its price is everywhere else.
Your driver waits for you inside the arrivals hall, holding a name board, so there's no confusion about where to go after baggage reclaim. They'll help load your luggage, confirm your destination, and walk you straight out to the car: genuinely useful after a long-haul flight, with young children, or when you're simply not in the mood to navigate an unfamiliar airport.
We monitor your actual flight status in real time, not just the scheduled time you gave us when booking. Early landing, delay, or a diverted arrival: your pickup shifts automatically at no extra cost, and your driver is briefed before you've even reached passport control.
Saloon: Comfortable travel for up to 4 passengers with hand and check-in luggage; the standard choice for solo or two-person journeys.
Estate. Extra boot space for additional luggage without upgrading passenger capacity.
Executive: A higher specification vehicle for business travel or clients who want a more premium ride.
MPV (6-seater): Ideal for small families or groups travelling with buggies or extra bags.
Executive People Carrier (7-seater): A business-class option for groups who still want a premium standard of vehicle.
Minibus (8 to 16 seater): For larger families, wedding parties, or corporate groups travelling together.
Coach (up to 24 seats): For large group and corporate transfers.
Child and booster seats are available across the fleet on request; just let us know ages and numbers when booking.
Enter your journey details: Pickup address, Gatwick terminal, date, time, and flight number.
Get an instant fixed price: No waiting for a callback or a manual quote.
Receive confirmation: Booking details sent straight to your email and phone.
We monitor your flight: From the moment it's in the air until it lands.
Meet your driver in Arrivals: Name board waiting, luggage help included.
Relax for the journey: Comfortable vehicle, professional driver, fixed fare.
Whether you're flying out for business, heading off on holiday with the family, or landing back in the UK after a long trip, getting to and from Gatwick shouldn't be the stressful part of your journey. Fixed pricing means no surprises. Flight monitoring means no unnecessary waiting. Meet and greet means no wandering around an unfamiliar terminal. And 24/7 availability means it doesn't matter how early, or how late, your flight is.

Gatwick has two separate terminals, North and South, around a mile apart and linked only by a free shuttle β there's no direct walking route between them. Just confirm your terminal when booking, and your driver will be arranged for the correct pickup or drop-off point.
Your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall or designated pickup area holding a name board, so you're easy to spot as soon as you clear customs, and they'll help you with your luggage from there.
Your flight is tracked in real time, so if it lands late your pick-up time is automatically pushed back to match β you won't be charged extra waiting time as a result.
Gatwick sits roughly 28β30 miles south of Central London. By road, transfers typically take around 60β90 minutes depending on traffic, time of day and your exact destination.
Yes β alongside transfers to and from London, direct routes are available between Gatwick and Heathrow, Luton, Stansted, Birmingham, Manchester and London City, plus long-distance journeys to Brighton, Oxford, Cambridge, Reading, Southampton and Portsmouth.
For one person travelling light to Victoria station only, the train is often cheaper. For two or more people, families, groups, heavy luggage, or a destination away from a station, a fixed-price private transfer is usually the better value, more convenient option, since our fare covers the whole car rather than a ticket per person.
Yes. Gatwick applies a charge for vehicles using its terminal drop-off and pick-up areas, and this is built into your fixed fare, so there's nothing extra to pay at the curb.
As a general guide, allow around three hours for international flights and two hours for domestic or short-haul European flights, though this varies by airline, so check your specific booking. We build appropriate buffer time into your pickup based on your flight time and terminal.
If your connection is at the same terminal, most airlines require a minimum of 60 minutes; if you're switching between North and South Terminal, allow at least 90 minutes. You generally won't need ground transport for a same-day connection through the terminal itself, but if your connection involves an overnight stop or a change of airport, we can arrange transfers accordingly.
Yes, we run direct transfers between Gatwick Airport and both Southampton and Dover cruise terminals, timed around your flight or sailing schedule.
