North Terminal handles the majority of easyJet's Gatwick departures, along with a number of long-haul and leisure carriers. It doesn't have its own railway station, so anyone travelling onward by train needs to use the free shuttle to reach South Terminal first.

South Terminal is home to British Airways, Ryanair, Jet2, Wizz Air, Vueling, and most TUI flights, and sits directly above Gatwick's railway station, served by Gatwick Express, Thameslink, and Southern.

Because airlines do occasionally move terminals, we always confirm your terminal and flight number at the time of booking rather than assuming, so your driver goes to the correct arrivals hall, not a generic "Gatwick" pin.

Moving between terminals? Gatwick's free automated inter-terminal shuttle runs 24 hours a day, every few minutes, and takes around two minutes each way. Allow 10 to 15 minutes door-to-door once you include walking and waiting time. If you need a transfer that starts or ends at the "wrong" terminal for your flight (for example, collecting from North Terminal parking but departing South), just tell us when booking and we'll build it into your pickup time.

The Gatwick Express is genuinely fast, taking around 30 minutes to London Victoria, but it only goes to Victoria, it's priced per person rather than per journey, and it doesn't help at all if your actual destination is a hotel in Canary Wharf, a house in Guildford, or an office near Heathrow. Regular Southern and Thameslink services are cheaper but stop more often, and none of the rail options solve the last-mile problem of getting from a station to your actual front door with luggage.
